Nanny's Message to Families

Hi! My name is Courtney, and I am 22 years old. I am happy & healthy, and I enjoy life. I am a loving and compassionate and extremely spontaneous human being--"human being" meaning I have faults too. I am not perfect, but I do everything to the best of my ability. I generally tend to exceed people's expectations. I am painfully shy the very first time I meet someone, but I warm up quickly after that. I own my own condo here in Florida which I will have to financially maintain if I travel. I went to, and passed, real estate school but decided that it wasn't for me. There are so many things I want to do, such as nursing, cosmetology, massage therapy, event planning, and teaching that Im not quite sure where I'll end up. I've been accused of being a little 'too ambitious'.. that even possible? :) I grew up in an extremely close family. My immediate family, aunts, uncles, cousins, & grandparents have all lived within 5 miles of each other for years. Of the 7 children, total, I' the oldest. I've cared for children ranging from a few days old to 13 years old for many years now. I also have a profoundly handicapped brother (he's 12 now & has cerebral palsy, global brain damage, seizures, etc.) who is wheelchair-bound, so I have an extra special kind of love for the handicapped/mentally-challenged. I have extensive experience & training in that area, and I' completely comfortable handling that sort of situation on my own. I have a ton of experience with cooking, baking, cleaning, running errands, doing laundry, helping with homework, handicapped/disabled complete care and probably everything else you can imagine! I've got a clean driving record, and I avoid trouble. I like to go out every once in a while, but I don't make it a priority. I can just as much fun entertaining myself at home!
