Au Pair/Nanny job description

We are a two parent working (professionals) family who is seeking a responsible nanny to care for our 3 children (ages 12,7 and 4). Our nanny will need to have the ability to engage our children in age appropriate activities. Other qualities include: responsible, good judgement, ability to plan activities/outings, enthusiastic, dependable and reliable. This position is full-time Monday through Friday from 7:00am-5:00pm. Most Wednesdays would be shorter days due to one parent home that day. Light housekeeping duties will be required as related to the kids (healthy meal prep, dishes, play room clean at end of day, writing a brief journal entry for communication, assist with homework). Transportation to from school/preschool and other activities as planned.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are a 40-something family with 2 bio children (12yo girl and 7yo boy) and our little one, adopted from China (4yo girl). We realize that our children do their best when they are at home with a caring person who wants to be here with them when we can not. The children think of each day as a new adventure to share with someone who wants to be with them. They like to do a lot fun things here at home, but also enjoy outings to the park, picnics, local events, swimming, libraries, etc. We, as parents, are looking for someone to partner with us in this very important job. We highly value reading, good study habits, limited time on electronic toys for our children. We believe we would be a great match with a great nanny.
