Au Pair/Nanny job description

Responsibilities to the children: To give quality care of the children. Bath, dress, feed, and care for the well being of the children. Bring children outside to play once daily (when weather permits). Maintain & straighten children’s room and bedding daily with the help of the children. Wash children’s bed linen twice per month and children’s laundry weekly. Take children to playgrounds and the zoo (when whether permits). Entertain with craft and other projects. Assist with homework or after school exercises (top priority over light house duties). Light cooking – family style meals, dinners & clean up from cooking daily for children and clean counters after cooking meals or once per day. Empty and fill dishwasher daily & straighten and maintain neatness of kitchen area. Driving requirement to transport children to school and activities. Hours 7am-8:30am, 11:30am-6:30pm for 2008-2009.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

This position becomes available in February 2009. August 18, 2008 a short term AuPair will be placed for 6 months by Cultural Care Au Pair. We can work with any Au Pair agency after the 6 moth contract expires. We are a loving family located in North Attleboro, MA. My husband and I have 2 children and live in a newly built, 5 bedroom home. Nanny - Au Pair living quarters is VERY private and her living room is also very separate and private. This provides a get away for personal space when she requires it. We respect our child care providers time off and work within a schedule and welcome her to join family time if she chooses to participate. Our jobs require a long term childcare position for our family. The position will be available to someone for a minimum of 12 months and potentially up to 10 years or more. We look forward to having someone become part of our family and enjoying a position within our home. Our son just turned 5 and our daughter will be 7 in August. I look forward to hearing from you!
