Au Pair's Message to Families

Hello! My name is Katie and I am an American 22 year old female and soon to be college graduate (yay!) I currently attend Michigan State University and will graduate with a bachelor's degree (4 year) in Psychology in December 2008. Upon graduation I wish to travel and am very interested in enhancing my French language skills as well as possibly picking up other languages. And I feel that becoming an Au Pair could definitely help me to achieve these goals. I love working with children as well as teenagers and hope to work with them professionally in the future as an educator or counselor. I think that I have much to offer as an Au Pair. I grew up in a family of 6 and have thus experienced my fair share of noise and activity so I can easily adapt to various changing situations. I am very creative and have a deep love of the arts. I like to draw, paint, sing, and play the guitar and have taken many classes in these areas so I could easily think up some fun activities for the kids to work on. I also am very active and enjoy jogging regularly as well as kicking around the soccer ball from time to time. I look forward to hearing from you!
