Au Pair's Message to Families

Hey! My name is Vanessa and I am a 22 year old recent college grad from Biola University. I love kids! I am pretty friendly and love to play. Kids ususally like that about me. I worked at my church with newborns to 11 year olds during my freshman year of college, facilitating cirriculum & leading small discussion groups. During that year, I also took a child develpoment class and completed several observation hours, researched about development theory and wrote a ton of papers on how to foster and facilitate growth in children. I babysit A LOT. Usually 2-6 year olds. I like kids of all ages, but consider myself especially good with toddlers and younger. I know trusting a total stranger with your kids is a big deal. I just want you to know, that I have excellent references, I am kind and respectful and I really do consider it an honor to be a part of your family. I would not need to live in your home. I live with my mom in a suburb outside of Los Angeles. If living with your family is a necessity, I would love to have further conversations about the possibility. Oh! Also, I am a Christian. I'm a big fan of Jesus. He has taught me how to treat people the way I want to be treated and to put others before myself.
