Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Howdy There fom Texas! We're looking for a loving, nurturing nanny to care for our son who is 7 1/2 years old, and our daughter who will be two on December 11th, and our beautiful new baby girl just born on December 2nd, 2008! Our son is extremely intelligent and needs a fun, but authoritative, AuPair who can keep him interested and occupied, and be his best friend. His interests are in Music, History, Science, Math, Castles, Ships, riding his bike, and basically any Games. He is also a fine little gentleman. You will really enjoy is company and conversation. Our 2 year old daughter is very active, inquisitive, and totally precious. Like any child her age, she is learning volumes each day. At this point, she needs a little help with her vocabulary, her ABCs, and potty training. She loves Music, Dancing, Books and being outside. As parents, what we're looking for is a non-smoking AuPair who is family oriented, tender and loving toward the children, responsible, and a patient teacher, and good role model. We would hope that your interests are similar to those of the children such that you can nurture their interests, and perhaps introduce them to some of yours. We DO NOT want someone who wants to sit in front of the television while the children play by themselves. We will ask that you prepare a simple, nutritious, hot breakfast on most mornings, cold cereal now and then, and a light lunch. We will ask that you help and teach the children to pick up their toys after play, and generally clean up after themselves. We would prefer a live-in who will help will cleanup after meals and help with the occasional vacuuming and dusting we already do. Please understand that we're simply asking for HELP, we do not intend for you to do all the work. We would invite you to various family outings, dinner, movies, museums, the zoo, waterpark, etc. and even vacations if you're interested. In return we would ask that you offer to keep the children for 2-3 hours once a month so mom and dad can have a "free" night to ourselves. We have a beautiful new home and a large yard in a new subdivision. We have a large game room with exercise equipment that you are welcome to use, and a large music room with all kinds of instruments, and even digital recording capabilities. We both work for contractors for the federal government. We have realtively flexible schedules, but very large responsibilities (and plenty of stress) at our jobs.
