| Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Natalie and I am currently living and working in Australia. I have lived & travelled extensively throughout the rest of the world.
I have worked in both childcare & PR/marketing, so am not only able to juggle a thousand tasks at once, but I also know the importance of developmental skills for kids and would prefer to kick around a football, do some painting or read a story rather than just pop them in front of the TV. I understand routine and educational activies are important, but like to make sure there is plenty of fun and love involved also. In terms of discipline, I don't believe in ever hitting children. I make sure I go through my ground rules from the start and stick to them, so there are clear boundaries. In my eyes, if you treat children with love and respect and explain to them why what they have done is wrong, they will learn from the experience, respect you, and have more chance of not playing up in the future.
I have a love of horseriding, cooking, surfing, photography, soccer, music, dance and voluntary work. I love being active, hold an open international drivers licence and have a Senior First Aid certificate. I have lots of experience with infants and younger children, and have also looked after older kids.
I am keen to travel and immerse myself in another culture again and would like to find a family who will not only be employers, but eventually friends. I think it is best for everyone involved (most importantly the children) that the aupair's ideals and interests match those of the family as much as possible.
I look forward to chatting with you! |
