Au Pair job description

Hello, We have 3 boys, aged 12,9,8, who all go to school. We have had au apir for 10 years now and the work of our au pair is above all to feel apart of the family and to not consider the job as " work". We will ask you to take our children to school by car at 8 am and to collect them again at 3:30 pm, to prepare their packed lunch, to prepare the evening meal for the children, to iron the laundry and to tidy away the children's toys, etc,... I (mum) return home at 4pm and we ask that you help with the boys homework, after school activities ( tennis, sports,...) and obviovly to play with the boys! You will have free time during the day while the boys are at school and at weekends. Sometimes, we will ask you to baby sit in the evenings. but we would like you to speak English with the boys and that you are in a way their teacher,....

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Hello, I am the current au pair here in Belgium, and I can honestly say that although I 'work' for the family they are also my own 'new family'! I have been here for nearly 5months now and I'm having a brilliant time, the boys have become my little brothers and all the family have welcomed me with open arms! I dont think you could find a better family who you constantly enjoy being with and are also very respectable of the 'work' you do with them.
