Brussels, Brabant Wallon - Host Family at a Glance
30-something family, primarily Belgian, living in Belgium. Family speaks Dutch, English, Flemish, French, German, and Italian. Looking for a female Au Pair or Nanny. Our aupair will not need to have a driver's license. Light housekeeping is required, and we will not accept an aupair that smokes.
Dear aupair/nanny, We are first of all looking for someone who really loves children. Experience in taking care of children would be a real plus (more than just some babysitting). We would like to find someone responsible, soft and kind natured, with a positive and energetic attitude. We would like you to speak English to our daughter. Your day to day would be something like the following: Help us preparing our little "missy" for the creche, taking her there and picking her up in the afternoon. Then you would play with her, take her for a walk, give her her bath, ... until we get home. On Wednesdays her grandmum looks after her most of the day. We have someone who helps us with the house, so only light household work would be expected (emptying the dishwasher, keeping Charlottes room in order and doing her laundry). Your WEs would be free.
Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies
Dear aupair/nanny, We are looking for our own marry poppins to look after out little Charlotte. Charlotte is absolutely adorable and quite a sunshine. She loves to sing, read books, play with lego and her dolls and go outside. Mid of November we are expecting our second little girl. We are an international family; I am Belgian, working as a lawyer, and Martin, who is a business consultant, is Austrian, we speak English together, but we both also speak German, Dutch and French. We both have full time jobs and therefore need help for the time we cannot be there. We are a caring and warm family and thus we are looking for someone to really integrate in our family. Even though we live in Brussels center, so you would have easy access to all the shops, movie theatres, museums and other, we have a nice big garden and a comfortable house. You would have a very nice, big bright room, your own bathroom and access to a computor so you can keep in contact with your friends and family. To know more about us, please ask any questions you may have. We would also be happy to put you in contact with our current au pair (who is leaving us after a year to go and start her own family with her boyfriend) and/or previous au pair .
