Au Pair job description

Here is a detailed list of what we expect from our au-pair: *Provide childcare during the hours agreed upon, mainly 3 full days and 4 half days. *One weekly babysitting evening only. *Carry out learning activities in order to stimulate children to play, talk, count, write and develop creative skills. *Carry out suitable physical activities in order to stimulate children to play and develop motion capabilities. *Protect children from harm and ensuring that they are always in safe environment. *Prepare appetizing and nutritionally-balanced meals and snacks. *Help with light general cleaning and with putting stuff in order *Maintain good communication with us, informing us of each child's development and concerns. *Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the house as affected by the children. Either childcare qualifications, nursing background or previous experience with young children would be preferable.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

We are looking for an active, reliable, enthusiastic and loving female au pair. You must be fluent in English. We want you to support the physical, social, emotional, creative, and intellectual development of our children. In return we will treat you as part of the family and enable you develop your interests, enjoy our house and all its amenities. We want someone for the long term, not just for a few months, from August 2008 to July 2009. We will pay up to £100 per week. Some details about us: my name is Katia, I’m half Italian half German, and I work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. My husband Tony is Italian and is a busy manager: We have two children: Marcello, 5, very active and vivacious boy, tall and strong, very warm and sweet, likes playing in the park. Helena, 2, an adorable little girl, very cute, strong-tempered, loves cuddles and dresses. At home we speak Italian to the children and English with guests. We live in a nice house opposite Holland Park, in a prestigious residential area of Kensington/Notting Hill (few minutes from Holland Park tube station). Our house, recently refurbished with modern stile, has a lovely and bright room ready for you. We have been living in London for many years and have many friends who live close to us. Our friends are from many different nationalities and have similar age children. We like eating good food. We cook Italian and international food. We don't smoke or drink alcohol.
