Au Pair/Nanny job description

Assist with our 9 year old son and 6 year old daughter by watching over them and keeping them busy by playing outside, bringing to the library, YMCA, and doing arts and crafts, and playing sports and helping with homework. Also, children's laundry and simple meals, and keeping their rooms clean and driving to and from school and various activities. Also, occasionally helping with the grocery shopping when the kids are at school would be appreciated.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

UPDATE: I've just been matched with an aupair given to me by the Cultural Care Agency. Thank you for your interest. I wish you all luck in finding wonderful families!!! Dear Aupair, I am interested in aupairs who are working with the Cultural Care Aupair Agency. We are interested in an aupair to ideally start sometime in August. We have hosted several aupairs in the past and have developed lasting friendships. We are happy to provide references. We are a family of four living in a beautiful seaside community about an hour north of Boston. There are many beaches, parks, shops and restaurants in our small city. There is train service to Boston and surrounding areas from our town and we do allow our aupair to use one of our cars when we are not using them. Our aupair has her own bedroom and bathroom. I am looking for someone who is very happy, mature, upbeat, and responsible. I need an aupair who truly loves children and who has an affectionate and lovable personality towards them. My children are used to getting lots of hugs! Our son Alex is 9 years old and he is a bundle of energy. He will start the 4th grade in September. He is doing great in school and has lots of friends. He loves to play sports in the backyard such as baseball and basketball and he would love to have someone with the energy and desire to throw a ball, and shoot some baskets. You don't have to be good at it, but you should enjoy being outside and being active. Our daughter Juliana is six years old. She will be in the first grade this Fall and she goes to the same school that Alex goes to. The school is about 2 miles from our house. She has a great imagination. She loves arts and crafts, cooking, horses, and playing outside. I work full-time in Marketing and my husband is a Real Estate Appraiser. We are normally home in the evenings and I only travel for work a couple of times per year. Last but not least, I need someone who is a good driver. You would mainly only be driving around our town but it would be part of your daily schedule. Also, I am not interested in an aupair who smokes as my son and I are very sensitive to smoke.
