| Dear Family,
Thank you first of all for taking the time to read this letter. I am looking for a family that is understanding, kind, caring, relationship oriented and not afraid to communicate. I have worked for two (2) years as a Nanny in the Los Angeles area and have loved the experience. I feel truly rewarded to be a part of the growing, learning and nurturing experience of a child, and to be a support for you (the parents!).
I am the third of six children and caring for my younger brother and sister is where my love of childcare began. I have worked with children ages 6 months to 11 years here in Los Angeles but I also have experience and feel comfortable caring for children of any age. I am looking to be a nurturing and uplifting influence in the lives of your children and to have an open and communicative friendship with you. I encourage creative and hands-on experiences for children and try to create the most nurturing atmosphere possible. I believe being a friend and a "big sister" is my primary relationship, but that I also need to be a support/reinforcement of the parent's structure for their children's behavior and discipline. (i.e. Time-outs, verbal correction, apologies to siblings, etc) I am happy to help out with housework/cooking/cleaning, even running errands, but should primarily focus on things concerning the children.
I am currently working for a family in Simi Valley about 25 hours a week. I am looking for another family with a flexible schedule that is willing to work with my current schedule the other 20-25 hours of the week. The family I currently work for is wonderful and understanding. They are fully prepared to work out a schedule that works for everyone.
Thanks again for reading, I look forward to meeting you!
Truly and Sincerely,
Rachael
