| We think you'd be interested in who we are:
We're an Austrian family, Emma (* 2/18/2002), Flora (* 4/28/2004) - our daughters and Pius (* 1/18/2007), Anita (38) and Toni(39) - us parents, Mrs Jacob & Gundula - the donkeys, 3 rabbits and Coloumbo the dog. A pony will arrive in November and to buy a horse next year is the plan.
We're living in a very old castle on the countryside in the middle of Austria. 2 hours from Vienna to the west, 1 from Salzburg to the east, and 6 from Venice :)). The village we're living in is rather small - some 2.300 people live there - and is situated in the alpine foreland just on the "border" to the well-known Salzkammergut. We're living around 5 minutes from the village center (by car), the next bigger cities are reachable by car, bus or train within 20 (Wels) and 40 minutes (Linz).
Toni has his He's the head of our family company which operates in diverse fields, from internet software development through music production (we've a company in LA wich is run by Toni's brother Georg) to the management of the castle we live in as well as another castle that also belongs to our family.
Anita used to work in our company is now off to take care for the kids but still gives a hand in the ed.
Toni's parents also live in the castle - they're both retired but still working in the company (Dad does all the financial and legal stuff and is in charge of developing - the other castle). Anitas parents live close in the neighbour village. Her dad is electrician, her mother works for the gouvernment in the 'musical education section'.
We're all rather busy but love to lean back in the evening (especially in summer) for a nice glass of wine, a BBQ or so. We like to go to just somewhere on the weekends. A nice room (50 m2) with separate bathroom is waiting for you. There's one important thig you'll have to consider: Autrian regulations stipulate the knowledge of some German before granting the Au Pair status. Therefore you'd have to come up with a prove of some sort. A certificate that you attended some German lessongs in a school will perfectly do. You also will have to attend a German class in Austria to extend your Visa which you will get for only 6 month the first time.
Well - there would be much more to say but this should give some impressions of who we are. |
