| Dear Family,
I can't wait to meet you! Children are my passion. I love having the opportunity to share my time with these incredible young minds. Children are such wonderful people with insight into so many interesting possibilities. Spending my time with a child means that I can teach them how to be smart, well-behaved (for the most part), fun-loving members of society, while learning just as much from them.
I am 24 years old, married and have one child; a son who was born on April 9, 2008. I think it is so important to be able to share the love that I have for my own child with your children. I assure you that having my own child will in no way take away from the love and attention that will be given to your children. In fact, it will only be a positive as the age differences will encourage learning for all the children. I know that your children will benefit from the "big brother/big sister" aspect of having a younger child in the house, and my child will enjoy the love that your children will bestow upon him.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington School of Education. I have my teaching certification for early childhood-4th grade. I taught Kindergarten in Arlington for one year, and 4th grade math at an elementary school in Richardson for one year. I have also worked in childcare for four years at a school where I still frequently substitute and visit. I was a lifeguard for 6 years and was previously CPR and first aid certified. I am also water safety certified and have taught swim lessons for three years. I was a nanny for a family three summers ago with a 9 year old, a 6 year old, and a 1.5 year old. I am still an active part of this family's life as a frequent babysitter. This was such a rewarding opportunity that I am now looking to be a nanny for you. I drive a Ford Escape that will seat five and have no problem playing "chauffeur" to your children. I love animals, so pets are only a plus to the situation, and I do not mind light housework. I have many, many wonderful references that are my pleasure to provide for you.
I am so excited that I might get to be a part of your family, and I look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely, Heather |
