40-something family, primarily Dutch, living in Netherlands. Family speaks Dutch, and English. Looking for a female Au Pair. Our aupair will not need to have a driver's license. Light housekeeping is required, and we will not accept an aupair that smokes.
We have 3 kids, a boy from 8 years and 2 girls from 5 and 3 (in Octobre 4) years. The 2 oldest are going to school and the little one is going to school when she is 4 years, and now she is going for 2 mornings to a playground for kids with more kiddies. The most important thing is to look after the children. Bring them to school, it is 5 minutes biking from our house and pick up from school. A little bit housekeeping (the mess from the children for example) and when you like cooking, that would be very nice offcourse. We have an au pair now and she likes to cook sometimes for us. In the weekend you are free. Maybe we will ask you one time to watch for the children, but not every weekend. Sorry, I have picturs, but they are too big for this website.
Family's Message to Au Pairs
We are a family of 5 persons. We live near Amsterdam. You can go by train or bus to Amsterdam. We live in a normal house, and you can stay on the second floor (we sleep on the first floor). We have a TV, DVD and a computer on the second floor. Our neighbours are very kind. There are a lot of children in our neighbourhood and a lot of children come in and out. Our children are asking sometimes of all the children could get some sweeties, ice creams or crisps. We ar not so difficult, so most of the time it is ok. But with our children you sometimes must say NO. That's important and that we have the same line otherwise they are saying: I don't have to eat from the au pair or from the au pair we may drink everything and we get a lot of sweeties from the au pair and not from you etc. The neighbours are very helpfull. We are working 4 or 5 days per week. When the children are at school, you can do your own things or relax. Maybe sometimes we will ask you if it is possible to cook and stay one evening without us, but with the kids. But we try to do this not so much. The children must go to bed at 8:00 PM.
