Au Pair/Nanny job description

The primary responsibilities are: Getting the kids ready and driving them to school in the morning - 8:00 AM - and picking them up at 3:15 (the school is about 15 minutes from our house). The time in between would be yours to pursuit your interests, hobbies, school, etc. Essentially, we're looking for an addition to the family, not an employee. There may be times when we are both required to be out of town at the same time and the responsibilities would increase accordingly: Preparing dinner, helping with homework, etc. Driving them to various activities as necessary (volleyball, basketball, music, etc.) Light housekeeping and laundry.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Hello Nanny, Really, we are looking for a big sister. Our need for help is due primarily to our need to travel for work. We both average two to three trips per month (2-3 days each). Our kids are very well behaved and fairly self sufficient, particularly our daughter. We are an easy going, low maintenance family. We enjoy spending time together and outdoor activities - swimming, biking, hiking, cooking out and campfires on the deck at night. Our kids are both movie buffs and have good senses of humor. We would also like our children to enjoy themselves when they are out of school, so we are looking for someone who is active and enjoys swimming, hiking, etc. We are a fun, active family and look forward to you becoming part of our family. We can offer a flexible full or part time schedule and have sufficient space for live-in accommodations. We have a very nice home where you would have your own private bedroom and bathroom. You would have full access to everything in the house like every member of the family. We live in a great little town - Castle Rock - which is a bedroom community of Denver. It is made up of primarily young families and is very family oriented. There are lots of festivals and community events, countless outdoor activities, open spaces for hiking, biking, etc. We are also only 30 minutes from downtown Denver and the amenities that it offers: Museums Performing arts Major league sports teams World class dining Nightlife Great music scene We hope we have answered a lot of the questions that are on your mind, but please feel free to ask anything else you can think of.
