Nanny's Message to Families

I enjoy letting the children make choices for themselves while providing a safe, loving environment. I like for children to develop a strong sense of self that builds confidence and prepares them for life. I feel that children need good physical activity balanced with good nutrition. I do not believe in using T.V. as a babysitter. I am an out-going, 47- year-old college grad. I love children and enjoy teaching them about the world. I grew up on a working horse farm in florida and southern illinois. from ages 16 through 19, I worked for a family with three children, and found this to be a great expirence. after successfully raising two sons in florida, I retured to school. I worked my way through school caring for an elderly lady until her death. I remain in close contact with her family. after my graduation, I worked in the business and corporate world--but found that to be unrewarding. I spend my free time gardening and doing lake activities, and also enjoy photography. I am looking for one family to work for.
