| Dear Family,
I have a very loving, supportive, energetic, unique family whom I love with all my heart. They have taught me what it is to be apart of a family, watching out for each other, loving each other, supporting one another, and helping each other whenever possible. I love to travel, being apart of a family, and taking care of, and hanging out with kids; being an Au Pair appeals to me because I can combine all three of those passions! I have been taking care of kids, of all ages (newborn-early teen years), for the last 7-9 years. I have spent the night with the children at their homes and been there in the morning when they wake up, I love spending time with them, playing games, being fun and weird and doing "kid things". I was homeschooled my entire life, up until I went to Massage School after high school; after watching my mom teach my brother, sister and I, there are a lot of ways I have learned that help when teaching and/or helping children learn and do school work. I have patience and I totally love helping others learn. I am a massage therapist in the United States, I feel I've been blessed with a talent for it, and a love for it, also. Although I love what I do now, I know that I want to go and do other things while I'm young, and I can always, and will, come back to massage therapy in the future. Being a massage therapist does require me to be CPR certified, and I have taken CPR courses at least 3 times in the last 7-9 years. Last year, my brother and I moved 3000 miles away from home, to California. People always ask me why I moved so far away from my family when I love them so much and they're all my best friends, my response is always, "It was time to grow up." I was mature, and very responsible at home, but especially after living on my own, so far from home, I have come to even more fully rely on God and realize how much He loves me and is watching out for me. I have matured and become even more responsible in ways i didn't know were possible! I just know there's another adventure around the corner for me, and I really feel like being an Au Pair is that adventure. I look forward to the experience so very much, becoming apart of another family, experiencing a new culture, sharing some of mine, and one of my other goals in life-be fluent in spanish!! My dad's family speaks it, but I wasn't brought up speaking it, I understand a fair amount, but speaking it hasn't quite come to me, yet. I am hoping the family I am with will speak Spanish to me and help me reach this goal! :) Besides being with my family whenever I can, I also enjoy going to the beach, reading a good book, being with friends, massage therapy, coffee, going to the gym and working out, meeting new people, learning about new things, eating frozen yogurt, trying new foods, the colors blue and green and any combination of them, I like wearing sandals and playing outside, exploring new cities and sharing my life with other people. I'm so excited for this and I can't wait to meet the family that I can become part of!
