Au Pair/Nanny job description

-We currently have 3 year old girl and will have baby boy in Oct. 08. -Give 3 year old daughter breakfast, lunch, snacks and occasionally dinner. -Drop/pick up 3 years old in pre-school three times a week (8:30-12:30) -Take her to walk at least once a day (except for bad weather) to nearby park, or her friend's house to play all together. -Do constructive and educational play at home such as reading, art crafts puzzles etc... try not to rely on TV more than 1 hour a day -Do her laundry once a week. Keep her room tidy after play (hopefully make her involved in cleaning) -JUST HAVE FUN EVERY DAY WITH HER AND NEW BORN BABY ONCE HE ARRIVES!

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Hello our future family member, We are Indian/Japanese couple (Indian husband, Japanese wife)with 3 year old daughter and new born baby boy in October 08. We have been having au pair in past 2 1/2 years and feel that it is the most beneficial way to raise the children when parents can not provide full care due to work. We have been having Japanese au pairs in particular since we would like to raise our children in bi-lingual environmentm however English skill is certainly vital to communicate with father, school teachers and friends' parents etc.. The unique environment we could provide especially to Japanese candidates would be that I (wife) could also teach English in details that tend to be missed out when you are in the environment with only native speakers. S/he can ask Japanese expression, phrases that they would like to know in English, but hard to explain. We both came to US as a international student in a college so that we know how it is like to be alone in foreign country and what kind of guidance you will need. Lastly, all we are looking for is the responsible cheeful person who loves children and their education and stay with us just as a part of family. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
