Au Pair's Message to Families

My name is Elizabeth. I have completed 6 years of college, and have held a variety of jobs. While I have majored in English Writing & Journalism, Biological Science, Computer Technology, and Small Business Management, I am currently a senior at the College of Santa Fe working on my BFA. While I enjoy this field, this is not where my heart lies. I long to see the world and help people. My step daughter is currently 6 years old, and while my ex and I are separated and live in different parts of the country, she is still a very large part of my life. All the beauty in the world lies in our children. I love children, but I don't feel as though I am ready to have one of my own right now. I desire to see the world, experience new places, and meet new people while I'm able to spend time with children and help people. I am more than able, and quite willing, to help children develop intellectually, creatively, and emotionally as they begin to find their voice in the world. As I have previous experience in small business management, I have excellent organizational skills; I do not mind cleaning. I have years of martial arts training, and also Emergency Medical Services. - Your children will be quite safe. I recently left my job working as the night manager of a coffee house in a college town where my duties include customer service, cleaning, balancing the register, planning weekly events, and securing the building. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, painting, textile art, photography, building websites, yoga, roller & ice skating, and tango. I will be in Sunnyvale, CA in the second week of July and I am seeking employment in that area.
