Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Family, My name is Catharine Sofia, and I'm 23 years old. I am from Brazil, and have been in the US studying for 7 years. Since I've been here, I graduated from H.S., completed my associates degree in science. Currently, I am studying to get my bachelor's degree in biology here in Houston. During the Fall Semester of this year, I'll be taking night classes M-Th, and a very early class M/W. I'm a college student who needs to work to pay tuition. I decided to join this community because I love being with children, and caring for their needs. I have previously worked as a baby-sitter for 3 yrs when I was in high school and 1st yr of College. Also, I help my aunt take care of my twin cousins when I was living with them for 4 years. Since I was a child, I have been involved with music, learning how to play the piano, transversal flute, and cello. I spent 2 yrs with the same family, taking care of 3 youngsters. I am sincerely dedicated and put great effort in every given task. I am very organized and good with housekeeping/cleaning. Also, I believe every child deserves and should be treated with love and respect. I like to participate and help with every activity, including helping with homework, playing with them, and more. My parents raised me in a family with values,morals, and love, so I understand what entails to care for a child, and the great responsibility of this task. It means very much to me to be a part of a family, and help in any way I can. I will be very happy to help take care for your child (or children), and I will be looking forward to your response.
