Au Pair job description

I am looking for an experienced Au Pair who is responsible, kind, loving and is comfortable caring for infants. Responsibilities will include driving and light housekeeping. I do have a health condition that is well controlled with medication, but does require some assistance with monitoring. I have an (almost) 3-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog who is very lovable, a good watch dog and companion. I would love an Au Pair who loves dogs as well as very young children and wants to live in an upscale area comparable with the Riviera or Beverly Hills.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Dear Au Pair, Hello! My name is KC and I am a 31-year-old mother-to-be with my little girl due around the middle of June, 2008. I live in Marin County, Tiburon, CA in an apartment with views of a beautiful cove on San Francisco Bay and the coastal mountains. Tiburon is known for its notoriously beautiful weather when the rest of San Francisco is enshrouded in fog. We have a lovely swimming pool very close to my apartment. Currently the extra room has its own separate full bath and laundry, which can be closed off from the rest of the apartment. There are two separate decks with views of the coastal range and the Bay. I am looking for live-in help beginning as soon as possible after the baby is born. My mother and father (a retired physician) live in Sacramento, and will be helping me for the first few weeks after the baby is born. They will be very involved and will be available to relieve as needed. I will be on maternity leave until September and then return to my job with Kaiser in Oakland, where I am a marketing consultant. I will be working a full time 40-hour week starting in Sept. The commute to my job takes approximately 30 minutes each way and is a pleasant drive over the Richmond Bridge. My apartment is 5 minutes from beautiful walking trails, 10 minutes from a California state parks with giant redwoods, 30 minutes from Stenson Beach and walking distance from downtown Tiburon which is on the water with lots of shopping, restaurants, movies, and other beautiful sights. The Golden Gate Bridge and Bay are viewed from downtown Tiburon as are the boats, the yacht club and the ferry to San Francisco and Angel Island. Tiburon/Belvedere is one of the most exclusive zip codes in the US. I look forward to raising my child here and I honestly believe it would be an amazing experience for anyone interested in helping to care for a new baby.
