Au Pair's Message to Families

Hi. My Name is Sarah and I am currently living in Santa Cruz, California, but willing to travel or relocate for the right family. I was pre-school teacher for 4 years in the Los Gatos Mountains. I love kids of all ages and all walks of life. I am an Aunt of 9 nieces & nephews and have been changing dippers since I was 8. I became a Great-Aunt for the second time on April 27th, 2008. I just got back from helping my nephew and his wife with their newborn girl, Victoria. I am all about working with the parents to obtain consistency and most of all to help with the way you want to be as a parent. I am overflowing with patience and kindness. Also feel very connected with nature and love to immerse children into gardening, hiking, learning about different plants and animals. I feel it is very important to give kids constant opportunities to experience new things and when they show interest allow them to excel in what comes natural to them. Of course all the necessary tools for life like reading, writing, math & social skills are all too important as well. What I am looking for is a live-in situation with a kind, open-minded family. I enjoy working with all ages and the more children the merrier. I consider myself to be an excellent cook and I keep a tidy house.
