| Au Pair's Message to Families |
| At the beginning of my letter I'd like to thank you for your concern and interest regarding my apply. I have heard for the first time about an au-pair from my sister and she convinced me about the good aspects of spending a year with a family in different culture. I decided after a while that it can be a very good match for me, before I start my job career. First of all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Chris. I live in a small town with my father and my brother in the west of Poland. My older brother Slawek is 25. I also have a sister Hanna who is 29 and lives in England. My life consists mainly of work, study, sport & leisure activities, and going out with my friends from time to time. When I was younger, my parents used to send me to catholic camps on holidays and I enjoyed very much meeting new people and sharing together duties and adventures. I also spent with my family every winter holidays in mountains, because we love skiing and skating. We appreciated very much that free time, because my parents having their own business were working most of the time and were very busy all year round except holidays’ breaks. Because I was grown up in a catholic faith I attended comprehensive catholic school. I choose that school because of its good reputation and high education level. I started to gain the experience in taking after children quite early than in my secondary school when I did some babysitting for my parent’s neighbours and look after their 4-year old daughter. During my comprehensive school I was a babysitter for 6-year old girl, a daughter of my sister’s friend. I played with her different games and prepared her meals while her mummy wasn’t home. I think children like me and speak to me very willingly; maybe because I am open-minded and patient and there is still a childish part living in me that makes me understand the children’s world and their point of view. I have been learning English since my secondary school. I am a very good driver and gained the experience working as a delivery driver in brother’s firm. I've made up my mind to spend some time abroad as an au-pair, because I would like to get to know better your culture, customs and tradition and be able to experience these with you in your daily life. I believe that my work will be very valuable for us all and will make your daily life easier thanks to my help. I also hope that we will get along together and become friends together. If you need any further questions please do not hesitate to contact with me. |
