I'm a very responsible, warm, caring & organized person who LOVES children... I've been in the USA for almost 1 1/2 years, so I can keep working as an au-pair until January/2009. I decided to change families right now (the reason why I can tell you on telebecause I think it would not be nice to write down on internet), but I'd love to work for a warm host family in a peaceful enviroment. I'm going to tell you a bit about my experience with kids which is very important for this position :) Well, I simply LOVE taking care of them, I'm very patient, I play with them, I don't get stressed because of screamings or cryings, I just know that kids have their bad days like every human being, they just express themselves in another way, so I'm very calm, I love them...I've been taking care of children professionaly and as a volunteer for 5 years now. I worked at "Ao Pe da Letra" school in Brazil taking care of children of all ages, I took care of infants for 3 years, and now I'm taking care of two sweet children (a 7 years-old boy and a 5 1/2 years-old girl), and they are the sweetest kids I ever met... My routine with the kids is related to make them breakfast, dress them up, brush teeth, brush hair, clean up their leftovers, drop them off at school, pick them up from school, play with them, have playdates time to time, help with homework, make dinner, do their laudry, bath them, help them to be ready to go to sleep, read stories and "night night...". With the babies I helped them with feeding, changing diapers, taking them for walks, scheduled nap times we figured out together (host parents and I during the time the babies were growing up), etc. I'm an easygoing person who is able to communicate very well, I like people who talk a lot, work hard, and enjoy life with family & friends. I'm very sensitive (I'm latin hehe). I don't smoke (if you do, I don't judge, don't worry), I love reading, going to the movies, concerts, biking, swimming, etc. I'm a singer, so I can sing for the kids if they would like to, teach them songs too :) I love arts in general, play with the kids with drawing, painting, music, etc. If you intend to have a long term too, we can talk because after my au-pair program (which has been very good for me), I intend to ask for a student visa in 2009. I'm graduated in French, my family lives in Brazil and supports my work and my goal to study music in Hollywood after my english improves even more after my au-pair program. This program has been helping me a lot to study in the USA with low costs, and I've been meeting great people here besides families and kids. My father is an English teacher, and my mom is retired. My sister had just graduated in Brazil. My English got better living in the USA for 1 1/2 years, and I finished the High Advanced English course last season(I still want to try TOEFL test). I can't speak spanish, but I understand it because it's similar to portuguese. If your family is peaceful, lives a happy life, knows that the au-pair needs to have an independent life on off days , I'd love to work for you. It would be better if you could provide me a car for personal use, I'm a good driver (I got 'perfect driver' on my test at DMV, I have clean driving records and also the California Driver's License. I love kids of all ages, and my LCC (my Coordinator from Cultural Care agency) is helping me to find a great family from here too, she's lovely :) PS. Calls and pictures with the kids only provided through the agency, please. I hope we have the chance to talk and be a good match!!! Thank you for the opportunity!
