Au Pair job description

Mornings, you would lend a helping hand with either getting the boys dressed or feeding them breakfast, although at least one of us will be there too. Occasionally you will drive Quinn to school (daily: 8:30 -12). Your morning will then consist of reading and playing with Soren (the playground and pool are close). It would be great it you could take our dog Cali for a walk when you go out. You'll pick Quinn up from school, feed both boys and put them down for afternoon naps. Afterwards, you can venture out (there are many kids in the area and the weather is almost always nice). Quinn is very active and likes running, jumping and riding his bike (we hope Soren will be much the same), but also really enjoys pretend games and reading Dutch and English books. Most days, the family is all home for dinner, followed by baths and books and bedtime. In general, we expect you to keep the house tidy, but you are not with us as our cleaner.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

We are an international family with a Dutch-born dad and American mom who met in Germany. Both our boys, Quinn who will be 3 and Soren who will be 1 have dual Dutch and US citizenship and Quinn speaks both languages. We would like to continue to raise them with a global perspective, and that’s why we’re interested in someone from abroad. Of course this also means that we know what it’s like to live in a foreign country and can help you adjust to your new surroundings. We chose our house with a more European lifestyle in mind. Shops, restaurants, playground, park and the swimming pool are all within walking or biking distance. We really like the outdoors and on the weekends we frequently drive up to the mountains, which are only a little more than an hour away. We ski in the winter and bike and hike in the summer and in addition to taking care of the children, we hope to also be able to show you all that beautiful Colorado has to offer.
