Nanny's Message to Families

I love working with children. I started babysitting when I was 11 and I am 30 now. I have worked in numerous child care centers, ran my own in-home day care, and I have also worked as a nanny previously. I have my associates degree in child development. I have had CPR and First-Aid training. I know some baby sign language and would be willing to teach that to your child if you would like. While working in the child care centers I was a lead teacher (mainly in infant rooms). One of my responsibilities was writing out and implementing age appropriate lesson plans and I carry this out in my nanny positions. I'm not the type of person to just sit and "watch" your child/ren. I like to be very involved. For example I like to do art projects, work on letters, numbers, etc., work on gross motor skills, spend time outside daily (weather permiting). You can be assured that your child will not only be well cared for, but will be learning on a daily basis as well. However, I am looking for a unique situation which would allow me to bring my 2 1/2 year old daughter with me. She loves playing with other children! I have a resume and several references if you're interested.
