Au Pair's Message to Families

Hi there! I'm Sarah. I am 24 years old, and I'm from New Zealand. I have approximately 12 years experience with children. I have been a leader at children's camps, worked at an afterschool care programme, been a Sunday School teacher, and had many babysitting and nannying jobs. My most recent job though was as a primary school teacher. I taught year 3 (7-8yr olds) for two years and year 5 (9-10yr olds) for one year. As you can see I have a passion for working with children! I have always wanted to travel and to get some overseas experience, so at the beginning of this year I left my fantastic teaching job for an adventure to the United States. I am currently an Au Pair in California for two beautiful baby girls and occasionally I also look after their 3yr old brother. The girls were 3months when I started looking after them, and they are absolutely gorgeous - I adore them! It is going to be hard to leave them, but I really want to keep traveling! I would prefer a short term nanny job, anywhere from 1-6 months, with a fun and flexible family. Preferably the family would be a Christian family living in London, but I am open to the right family living somewhere else in the UK. March 2009 is the earliest I can be available. I have many interests and am always open to new ones! I love shopping, snowboarding, going out with friends, rugby, road trips and traveling around the place, being involved with my church, listening to music, netball, pilates, playing sport, theme parks, the beach, ten pin bowling, beach volleyball... you can see I am quite outgoing!
