| I am a dual citizen (US and Germany) who is fluent in English, German and French (speaking, reading and writing). I am currently an au pair in Germany (Munich) for a four-year-old child and am very much enjoying my experience! Starting in October, I will be in the Lyon region for seven months as an assistant teacher in an English class. I would very much like to live with a host family while I am there. Ideally, I would love to be a live-in babysitter: live with a family, eat with the family, and watch the children occasionally, mostly in the evenings and sometimes on the weekend. I hope to have holidays off so that I can travel or go home to my family. Since this is not as much work as a typical au pair would do, I would not expect to be paid but would like just room and board and to be part of the family.
I have 12 years' babysitting experience, with newborns to 14-year-olds. At home (in Philadelphia), I babysit often for a family with 4 children, ages 2, 5, 7 and 8 years. I have been babysitting for them for 7 years. Here in Germany I have been with my host family since the end of August 2007. I also babysit a nine-month-old boy once or twice a week.
I would love to live with a family that has a dog (or more) but I have to warn you that I am allergic to cats and cannot live with them.
I am looking for a position where I can become part of a great family! |
