Au Pair's Message to Families

I am a 29 year old married female moving to Jacksonville in May. My husband is a pilot in the navy and we have been stationed in Maine for the last 3 years. While in Maine I worked as a nanny for an infant and 3 boys ranging in age from 9 to 13. Prior to moving to Maine I worked in Jacksonville, FL as an elementary teacher for Duval County Public Schools. I have taught Kindergarten thru 2nd grade. That being said, I am very open to any nanny position. I would be willing to work for just the summer and then go back to teaching after the summer. I would also be very happy to be a full time year round nanny for the right family. I am really just looking for the right fit now. A little about my style with kids. I adore children, I have been working in childcare in some form or another since high school. I love children and think that they bring life and love and laughter wherever they go. Their innocense and zest for life is contagious. On the other hand I do believe that having fun and discipline and respect should go hand in hand. I believe it is important to teach children to give respect and expect to get it in return. I love working with all ages from birth on up.
