| To My future family,
i am a loving young grandmother of four, mother of three wonderful children, sister of three other siblings and daughter of two wonderful parents. I was born in windsor, canada. I have lived in the US since I was three and I became a citizen in 2000. We speak french in our home. I was an administrative assistant for over 20 years. I lost my job in 2005 and decided to make a career change. I became a nanny! this is the most rewarding career change I have ever made! I volunteered at MCREST (a homeless shelter), volunteered in the ER at a hospital in my area, volunteered at abigayle ministries (a home for unwed mothers), volunteered at my church working with children in VBS (vacation bible school) and on sundays with the two-year-olds while their parents are in church. I also have been to haiti with my church-i was in charge of teaching the school children while I was there. I was a nanny for a 19-month-old little girl, along with her newborn sister. The mother decided to stay home with her children. I watch the children still on saturdays. sarah calls me grandma Di, as do all my other grandchildren. I have a gift with children. I love them all! My future goal is to go to africa and work in the orphanages for a couple of years. I believe a child is like wet cement, when young, you can mold that child any way you want. I want to mold a child so he/she becomes the best adult possible. I know I will be a great asset to the next family I adopt! I hope it's you!! |
