| Good evening,
It is my goal to gain employment with a family who wants to work in partnership with me in providing the best care for their children. In order to have a good partnership, I feel that there needs to be communication between the parents and the childcare provider. This partnership needs to be honest and forthright.
If you so choose, I also feel that some type of daily log could be introduced so that the parents are familiar with the daily activities.
My Philosophy: Give a child the foundation of self-esteem; creativity, a understanding of basic fundamental education and the desire for reading will thus grant them a willingness to succeed in their future
Here is a little bit about myself. I have lived in many countries and town, but love living in Texas. I have worked with children from infant to Junior High school and I have also worked with children who have disabilities. I am certified in First Aid, CPR, and Blood Borne Pathogens through the American Heart Association. I have a child of my own who was premature and is now 2 years old.
I have worked for a family who has twin six-year-old boys whom I have been with for the last 3 summers. My daily duties for this family included cooking, cleaning, family laundry, running errands, taking the children on field trips (weekly visits to library), and to their scheduled sports activities. I did a daily log for this family called the “Book of Information” that included Meal Plans, field trip expense, time sheets, activities, and emergency information. I also taught them fundamentals in their ABC’s, writing, arithmetic, and Arts & Crafts time.
I worked with a family that is new to the country. They're a wonderful French family of five. My duties included picking them up from the school and helping them with there English homework. I also cook the family meals at night, do their family laundry, iron their clothes when needed and occasionally drop off the kids at soccer practice.
I worked for a family of six. For three month I took care of the families three girls from 7am to around 10 to 11 pm. This included everything from the morning into the night.
I have recently worked for a single Parent and enjoyed pick up the son from school. My duties there was to pick up son, help with homework, pick up the house, do laundry, and make dinner. I really enjoyed working with them.
At the present time I am looking for new employment and look forward to a family that will allow me to bring my two year old. I know 2, but my son is well behaved and is really a joy to be around with. I have brought him to every job and it has worked out.
