Au Pair's Message to Families

dear guestfamily, I would be happy to be a part of your family, learn more about the american way of life and fullfil my dream to live in Northamerica for a while (it´s my dream since I was 13). I already was an aupair/big sister for two girls (6 and 8 years old) and for two boys (2 and 4 years old), so I know how it´s like to be an aupair. I also do some babysitting for a 2 and a 5 year old girl from time to time. When I was younger and lived at my parents home I worked honorary at our church with children, I did that for 6 years till I had to move south for my practical training. I like it to be together with children, see how they grow up and learn something new everyday. There´s nothing better than the laugh of a child. That was one of the reasons, why I decided to move to Finland as aupair and also why I started working in an englishspeaking kindergarten here in Helsinki. Now I want to move on, to see something more from the world and being an aupair is the best way to get a taste of the real way of living in a country. and combining working, living abroad and being around children is a great opportunity. it would also be great if I would get the possibility to attend some courses at a college. In my freetime I like to meet friends, go to concerts/gigs, learn new things, traveling, reading, listen to music and sing (awful but I love it),drawing, taking photographs and do powerwalking in the nature. I like to experience and learn new things and I´m a fast learner. I´m open-minded, friendly, flexible, come along with everyone and I love a challenge. I don´t have a visa for the USA or Canada at the moment, but it shouldn´t eb a problem to get one after I´ve found a family. It would be also great if the family would give me the opportunity to visit some courses. I´m also not at an aupairagency now, I decided that I´ll join the agency of my future family then. I really hope to find a nice family, who shows me the american way of life and adopts me as a big sister for their child(ren).
