Au Pair/Nanny job description

Nanny position 4 days a week in LAKE STEVENS, occasional evenings and some weekends. Light housekeeping just keeping up on dishes, laundry etc. cooking easy meals (other than chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese) for the family. Caring for 2 busy boys ages 4 and 5. I am a single mom who works full time as a nurse at a local hospital. Jake my 4 year old has autism, he goes to developmental preschool 5 mornings a week and has speech therapy once a week. He is really coming along and is very interactive with his family and his surroundings, he is starting to talk, is is quite social. He is still toilet training. Ryan is 5 and VERY social and loves to engage his caregiver in pretend play. He needs an interactive nanny not someone who just wants to sit on the computer, or just watch tv. He is a wonderful boyand always learning something. He will be starting Kindergarten in fall of 08'.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Hello my name is Amy , I have a live in nanny position available for the right person. I am a single mom of 4 children ages 16, 14, 5 and 4. I need a nanny or au pair for the two younger boys. My two older children are independant and do not require a nanny. About me: I am a nurse and work full time at the local hospital 4 days a week . I also take call in the department I work so I do occasionally work evenings and am on call some weekends. I am a very easy going person in general. I have two younger boys ages 5 and 4 just 11 months apart in age. The 5 year old is very talkative, smart and very social. He will be starting Kindergarten this fall 5 half days a week, mornings I believe. My 4 year old is very busy , he has mild autism. He does have a speech delay and is still toilet training, he is a wonderful, sweet boy. He goes to Developmental Preschool 5 days a week half days. We have two cats also. I live in a nice home that is three years old on the end of a cul-de-sac with lots of really nice neighbors and other kids. We are just minutes away from the beach on Lake Stevens and there are a lot of local parks. Your hours would be essentially from the time the boys get up around 6am till I get home about 5pm sometimes earlier sometimes later. Duties would include meal preparation for the family, light housekeeping, looking after the boys etc. You would have the bedroom downstairs, everyone else sleeps upstairs.
