Family's Message to Au Pairs

We are a active, open minded, liberal American-Norwegian family of five living in Røa in Oslo. We have three friendly and extremely well behaved girls of 1 1/2, 11 and 15 years old and a dog ( completely house trained). We are looking for a friendly, helpful, sociable, caring and responsible Au-pair who would like to be a part of our family (spend time with us). We are an active and engaging family, and we would want to have with us a person who wants to participate in our activities and be a total part of our environment. We would not be comfortable with a situation where the au-pair approaches this as a work situation only and fulfills her personal needs elsewhere, but one who we work together with, creating a cozy environment, and who feels comfortable with being an intimate, vital, creative and energetic member of our family. We would like to visit places together (vacations and such) and engage in various activities likewise. Our main interests as a family are: Music, Native American, Oriental and other types of Philosophy and mysticism, Martial Arts, and of course, on the lighter side, movies, short trips bathing, skiing, playing indoors and outdoors (We want to do everything). We are very friendly, open to diverse-alternative kinds of thinking and culture, flexible, curious yet disciplined. We do not smoke and drink alcohol in the house only on special occasions.
