| Dearest Family, I have lots of love, nurturing, compassion, authenticity, warmth, maturity, kindness, fun, joy, laughter, gentleness, generosity of spirit, wisdom, and life experience to share with a wonderful and compatible person/couple/family. I am an educated professional single woman with a fine university degree in education (human development and social policy), as well as excellent English skills, both written and verbal, which I would be delighted to share with you. I speak Spanish, some French, and am learning Italian, a language that soothes my soul. Most recently. I worked as the concierge for a new, state of the art, compassionate, ecofriendly children's hospital.
Currently, as I make plans to go abroad, likely abroad, I am tutoring in English to children, teenagers and adults, and serving as a personal assistant to several clients.
Ever since I was a teenager, I have always loved and cherished people, cultures and languages from all over the world. As a youthful 47 year old, I realize how life flies by in a precious instant. It's time for me to create a new adventure with a lovely family in another part of the world!
It is my longing and intention to work on a book that is all about listening to the hearts and wisdom of the world's children, as well as nurturing their creative and enlightened self expression.
I would be so grateful for a beautiful and inspiring place to live, a way to be in service to you as an au pair, and, if at all possible (but not required) free time to create this beautiful book and art project by and for the world's children --- all the while, sharing my English with you and learning and speaking your language! And, if in the process, I can improve and/or learn another language, well all the better! I wish it weren't so, but I am still allergic to cats, dogs and smoke, so pets and smoking would not be a possibility for me. I eat healthy food, meditate, love to walk, dance and sing, appreciate and love nature and beauty in all forms, and study/speak foreign languages. I am looking forward to this next part of my life --- this incredible and wondrous adventure. I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of your family. ****While Italy, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, and New Zealand seem like lovely natural first choices, I am also open to a really warm, gentle and lovely family and place somewhere else. P.S. I realize that I am much older than your typical au pair. I am still very youthful, and I hope that you might be open to me as your au pair, even though I'm not in my twenties or thirties anymore. :-)
Also, I have listed 10 plus years of child care experience, which I have from being a mom. :-) I have never been a nanny/au pair, but was blessed to have several lovely ones for my child when he was younger. |
