Nanny's Message to Families

Dear Host family, My name is Stephanie. I'm 21 years old and I'm from Germany. Right now I'm still an Au Pair and live with a host family in Chevy Chase/DC. Back in Germany I took care of 2 children who were 2 years and 3 months old. I also worked in a kindergarten for 3 months to get the right experiences which I needed to become a great nanny. After I perfected my education I came over to the U.S. to start my first Au Pair year. I worked for a family with 2 kids. Sarah was 6 years old and Michael was 2 years old. I had a really busy schedule but I was never too stressed out. One of my biggest responsibilities is for me to drive the kid’s safely around. I had also some long trips with my host kids to Kings Dominion, Splash down and a lot more. When I finished my first year I decided to extend for another year because I really love to be here in the USA. I've got 4 children now, 2 boys and 2 girls. Their ages are 7,9,11 and 13. With 4 kids I never get bored and they keep my schedule full.I have also cared for children with Autism for one year. I love experiencing my new life in America with the children. When they are home from school on holidays I enjoy spending the day at either the zoo or bowling and many other places. With all these experiences I am very responsible. With the children and I promise to treat your children with love and care. If you have any questions about my experiences with kids, go ahead and ask me. About me: I'm a very responsible and trustful person. I've had never problems with my host parents not trusting me with their children, which is one of the most important things to have in our relationship. I am very outgoing person and during my free time I love to spend time with my friends. I also enjoy playing Volleyball, do arts and craft, and outdoor activities. My goal and dream is to study here in America.
