| I am a 29 year old experienced nanny/personal assistant/ caregiver that is seeking out a new experience with a terrific family. I have worked the past two years as being a personal live-in caregiver/aid for a boy that has cerebral palsy. That has recently came to an end so I am available now!! I am looking for any location and I am very adaptable!
Anyhow, I currently am seeking a family that I can share my wonderful past experiences with and grow close with. I am a very active young adult that feels there is much to learn in the world rather than in front of the tv/game console! However, I do enjoy a great movie and I'm loving the wii every now and then!
I studied nursing in college and love caring for others, especially children! Children bring a certain glow to me that nothing else can! I have a lot of qualifying traits that would make me a genuine good match. I also have past experience with being a personal assistant so I am very flexible, well rounded, intelligent and open to new ideas/ jobs. I always tend to be the Jane of all trades. I am responsible and well organized that enjoys new tasks or projects in and out of the home.
I think that respecting and listening to children of all ages is crucial. I enjoy a positive environment with minimal yelling! I know that things may get stressful, but I feel that if there is proper communication and planning, things can be a lot more "at ease" in those situations. Communication is the key to sucess as a nanny whom is working/living with a family. I believe in open communication at all times and that things, good or bad, should be discussed. I can take and learn from constructive criticism! Feedback is great!!
I also really enjoy consistency, as much as possible. In regards to guidelines, discipline, limits, etc. I am very flexible and actually enjoy change but I think that it is best for the child and the nannies relationship that the consistent structure of discipline is stable throughout.
I am very HONEST, DEDICATED, and POSITIVE individual and love to help and make others smile! I love to laugh and feel it's one of the greatest medicines! I truly believe in hands on experience, enduring the outdoors and nature. My family taught me the value of patience. I was raised in a terrific loving family and appreciate the morals and values that I was taught. I was also raised on a horse ranch, with a cat and a Labrador, so I love and enjoy all animals and suffer from no known allergies, (in case your family has pets!)
My personal hobbies include photography/art, traveling, laughing, all music, and reading to learn new things! I love life and I am very active and enjoy sailing, hiking, horseback riding, surfing, biking, etc. I love the beach, enjoy the mountains, and love to ski/snowboard as well. A warm heart, positive attitude, caring for ALL individuals, open-mindedness, and my high energy build my personal character traits which tends to connect me easily with all, especially children. I love to learn and teach, which in why I feel that nanny positions fulfill me. I am open to new experiences and places and I am very flexible for different opportunities.
I prefer to have a live-in situation that has some form of privacy. A seperate guest home would be ideal, but even a room/bath in the home is fine! I am a very healthly girl that loves to excerices and cook healthy! Love to research new recipes and food.
I have excellent references, and can undergo any type of background screening, drug screening, etc. I have a BA degree, CPR card, CNA licence, which I can provide you with! I can also send more photos upon your request, if you prefer.
