Au Pair/Nanny job description

Professional family (both parents with Master's degrees) - one a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom) is looking for a nanny/au pair to assist with raising our growing family. Currently we have a 20 month old little girl who is always smiling and a joy to be around. We are expecting our 2nd (girl) in April/May. Typical day could include educational play with Hannah, walks, parks, museums, swimming, etc. * light housekeeping (including laundry) * some meal prep for the baby * normal childcare such as diaper changes, etc. As mom is home as well we are looking for someone who can support our attachment parenting style. It is important to us to maintain a drug free enviornment at all times when interacting with our child(ren). At this time we are not accepting interest from individuals outside of the state of WA, USA. The perfect match would be a student who is looking for flexibility around their schedule.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

Dear potential "Family Member", We write it that way because we believe you would become part of our family if we match. The 'job description' above is of course not all-inclusive. It is a way for you to get to know us a little better and what we are potentially looking for. A few other things to consider: 1) Travel is not required in this position, but may be available once or twice per year if timing works and the provider is willing/able. Last year we went to Hawai'i for a week. This year we are considering Mexico in October timeframe. 2) As we are somewhat flexible and Rachel is a full time SAHM, we can be very flexible with time off -- especially if you are going to school, etc. NOTE: Typically, our family travels to NY the week starting a few days before and ending a few days after Christmas.
