Au Pair/Nanny job description
We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic and responsible au pair/nanny to help look after our 3 girls aged 8, 6 and 2 and 3 and to become part of our family in Norfolk. Our nanny would work five days, up to 35 hours plus 3 nights babysitting per week, live-in. Days generally start at 7.30am and tasks with the children will include getting the older girls ready for school, sometimes picking them up from school, helping with mealtimes, taking our youngest to playgroups and entertaining her if I am out and helping with bathtimes. Duties around the house would be tidying the children's bedrooms and playroom, ironing, clearing dishes etc. NB we do have a cleaner. We live in the countryside, a 20 minute drive to the beach and 10 minutes walk to our local town. london is 1 hour 45minutes by train or a 3 hour drive.
Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies
We are a relaxed family living in the countryside in north norfolk. We have 3 girls; Kara (8), Cosima (6) and Allegra (3). They have lots of friends their age locally who come to play and they love playing outside, riding, cycling, swimming, tennis and hockey. They also love making things, colouring, crafts and generally making a mess with paints. My husband Rupert works in London and commutes during the week. I am a housewife and I combine running the house with looking after the children. I am 42 and Rupert is 44. We lead an outdoor life and both play golf and tennis and go to the beach in the summer. Although we live in the country we are not cut off as we live on the edge of our local town, Aylsham which has pubs and various shops. You will have full use of a car which you can use to explore on your days off. Norwich is only a 20 minute drive where you will find theatre, cinemas, bars and shops, although don't expect the bright lights of London! We would like you to be a part of our family during your stay here and to accompany us on holidays. You will have your own bedroom ina separate part of the house with your own bathroom and TV. We are looking for someone who is fun, enthusiastic, energetic, caring and creative when playing with the girls. Experience with looking after children is essential as is an ability to drive. We are also looking for someone with the experience and reliable enough to take sole charge of all 3 children occasionally. We have two ponies so a knowledge of horses is helpful but not essential and we are building a swimming pool so being able to swim is essential. We very much look forward to hearing from you!
