Au Pair job description

Hi, We are looking for somebody to join our happy family - Mum, Dad, 7yo boy, 5yo girl and 22mth baby boy. Living in Roseville (Nth Sydney near Chatswood) I'm looking for some all round help with children & house as I've started my own p/t business. 30 hrs week Mon - Friday. Typical day: Help get ready - school/daycare. Care for baby whilst I do school drop offs. Load of washing on, perhaps sweep or vacuum & play with baby etc. Middle of day to themselves. 2:00PM: School collection/look after baby, afternoon t, walk to park. Help with homework, cook a simple meal (2 meals/week), bath children. Occasional evening babysitting so Mum and Dad can take a break!! Its essential you're a confident swimmer (backyard pool).

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Dear prospective au pair, We are a happy and very busy Australian family living in Roseville. We have three children - a 7 year old son, a 5 year old daughter and a 22 mth old baby boy. Mum has started a business and cannot fit everything in ! Our 7 yr old goes to school 5 days a week and the 5 yr old starts school Jan 09 and the baby is in daycare each Mon & Wednesday. We are looking for a self starter who is happy to help with all facets of running our house - helping with homework, bathing children, swimming in the backyard pool with them, outings to the park, zoo, helping with household chores/cleaning, shopping etc etc- but above all someone with a TRUE LOVE FOR CHILDREN. We have a backyard swimming pool - you must be a good swimmer We have a small friendly maltese dog. We live in Roseville - an 10 min stroll to train station. Chatswood shopping centre is closeby. This role would perhaps suit a student studying a couple of hours in the middle of the day as this is a split shift position - a couple of hours in morning and a few hours in afternoon. If you love young children, are happy doing house work, have initiative and great references and are keen to assist us then we would love you to be part of our family.
