Au Pair/Nanny job description

This special person will be helping with our two lovable (preschool and 1st grade) boys. Flexibility with hours and days is a must. Both schedules for parents vary from week to week and month to month. Parents can be flexible with nanny's schedule from time to time as well. (We can also try to work around school schedules if given enough notice.) Summertime may also hold more hours. This is for an occasional to part-time, live-out position. There may also be the possibility of needing help with our elderly parent on occasion. Light housekeeping and food preparation will sometimes be required. Because some driving might be needed for school and activities, a clean driving record and very reliable car is a must. Excellent references and a non-smoker is also a requirement. English is a must and fluency in a foreign language is a plus. Other pluses include training in child care development and current First Aid/CPR certificate. Please also be aware that a background check may occur.

Family's Message to Au Pairs and Nannies

We are a nice, outgoing, fun-loving family living in Normandy Park, Washington, USA. It is a small community just minutes south of the city of Seattle. It is a beautiful area that is always green with very moderate temperatures. Our two boys are 7 and 5 years old. They are active, silly and love being outdoors, just like their parents. They love sports like tennis, golf, soccer, snow skiing, baseball and basketball, and swimming, and indoor rock climbing. It would be great to find a loving energetic aupair/nanny who can be active with them. A fun, reliable au pair/nanny would greatly be appreciated to help out with mom and dad while they are at work. We hope that that special person is out there for us and look forward to having our sons grow and have enriched experiences from the exposure of a new culture from a loving caregiver. **(Our house doesn't really have the room for a live-in nanny. So we prefer a live-out position. It is, however, a perfect opportunity for someone who is adventurous and who likes to see and experience new places and make new friends, to come to Washington state.)
