| Dear Aupair’s and Nanny’s,
We are seeking a woman who can start working in Nov/Dec 2009.
Our children are age 9 (girl), 7 (boy), 5 (girl) and 3 (boy). The three oldest will be in school all day during the school year. The youngest will be at home during the day. We have lived overseas off and on for over 12 years. We have previously had live in nannies before. We had a Filipina nanny that lived with us for six years. She left us in July 2006 because she got married. We recently arrived in Wassenaar and are looking for someone who can come in and take charge of the house and work with both parents in taking care of the kids as well as the house. We need someone who is responsible, committed, is a self starter, does not need directions, is trustworthy, is serious about the work, uses good sound judgement, is mature and is dedicated. You also must be a non smoker with no allergies to cats (we have four) or dogs (we have one). The person we hire will need to start at 07:00 and help get the three oldest kids ready for school and out the door to the bus. You will be responsible for taking care of the youngest child during the day and also doing some of the housework such as helping with vacuuming, dusting, making/changing bed linens, folding down clothes (laundry would be done by the mother), or just keeping the house tidy during the day. Also starting dinner in the mid afternoon so when the parents come home they can finish the cooking or if your confident with cooking you can finish dinner while the parents handle something else. We also need someone who is willing to work from time to time in the evenings or on weekends. Not every weekend or every evening but there are times when something comes up or we need to do something over the weekend that requires an extra pair of hands. We will pay overtime for that work or come up with some other arrangement. We need someone who may be willing to travel. We take 2-3 Holidays a year. Over the last two years we have traveled to Germany, Tunisia, Egypt, Oman, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, California and Florida. All travels that you go with would be paid for by the parents. There are possible salary increases depending on performance. We will consider all applicants. Work will be 6-8 hrs per day Monday - Friday. Weekends will be free unless the individual would like to work overtime. We prefer a live out arrangement but will consider a live in arrangement.
