Au Pair job description

The Job mainly entails helping my wife with the work around the house looking after the children and her mother. Playing with the children and helping them with their homework if you can, but not required if too difficult due to language. Preparing packed lunches etc. It will also entail: cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, tidying up, shopping, looking after the dog. Basically all the day to day stuff that my wife does, no restrictions all that you can put your hand to will be of help. You will have access to the car if you can drive, good food, lots of access to the internet with broadband access so you can keep in contact with home if you wish. You will need to friendly, tactile, sensitive and interactive with the children.

Family's Message to Au Pairs

Hi, we are a very happy, active and busy family with four children. The fourth edition to the family was born on the 7th May 05. We need a disciplined aupair with common sense and who can help and turn her hand to most things, follow a general routine and be friendly and cheerful. We are an optimistic, generous, loving and tactile family and need an aupair to make life more fun and interesting. Our family is very relaxed especially around the house and well respected. I am quite strict at times but also fair and understanding. We do expect loyalty and discipline. You will need to be good natured, good manered, pleasant, relaxed, pretty open minded to each persons needs, adaptable, flexible and amenable. In return you will have a great fun time with us and treated like one of the family. Possibly learn to drive, come with us on holiday and may even have a long term future with us. Our youngest child is now 4 and as my wife stays at home most of the time all you will need to do is to be able to assist her and her mother and help as much as possible. You will have access to a computer that is broadband connected so you will be able to keep in touch with your family whenever you want to. You will also be able to use the computer for study etc if required. We live by the sea which is very near the main shopping centre and London. Our dog is a Border Collie so average size and very friendly and easy to look after. These are just some of the things about us and I hope what you have read you have found interesting.
