Au Pair's Message to Families

Hi, How are you? I am Nicole. I am 23 years of age. I am currently studying at Carleton University in Ottawa. I am studying Criminology, Criminal Justice and psychology. I graduated two years ago from Niagara College in the Community and Justice studies program. I live with my fiancée in Ottawa, Canada. I love traveling and meeting new people. Since the age of 11 I have been on several exchanges. I have done the S.E.V.E.C exchange, Japan exchange for two months in High school, and Katimavik which is a 9 month Canadian volunteer program. Last year I lead a team of volunteers to Tanzania for one month. This may I am leading a team of volunteers to Nicaragua. I currently work at the in Ottawa. I am the coordinator for the Y kids fit program. I also do various other children and youth programs. I have worked at a Day Care, youth programs, with special needs children and youth, in a youth jail, as a behavioral assistant and various other programs with children. I really enjoy working with children and youth because everyday is different. I want to be a positive role model for children and help develop their skills and interests. I am a hard worker, highly motivated, and creative. I want to learn from your family and about your culture.
