Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Bella Famiglia!! My name is Olivia . I am from a small town in Wisconsin, USA close to the city of Minneapolis. I will be graduating from high school this coming June, and would really like to take a year off before attending college to be an Aupair!! I have some friends who live in Saronno so it would be helpful if you lived some what close to Milan. I am very excited to learn the beautiful Italian language, so I would like to be able to take some language classes while I am there. Although I would only be 17 when I would come to live with you, I will be graduated from high school. The only reason I am so young is because I skipped a grade! I feel that because I am younger I can relate more to your children and be their friend not just their care provider. I am a straight A student and I enjoy dance and all types of art. I am enthusiastic and fun loving, but I am also very responsible and organized. I have been babysitting since I was eleven years old. I have worked for small children's camps teaching dance and theater. I have also stayed with my aunt and uncle to take care of their children during parts of the summers. I enjoy children and love having fun doing art projects and many other things with them. I hope to help your children learn English as well as learn some Italian myself! I am a very people oriented person who loves to laugh, cook, and play games. I am a quarter Italian and am in the process of claiming a dual-citizenship with Italy! I am hoping to go to a university for something in to arts or foreign language. I study Spanish in school right now and I enjoy it a lot. I have always wanted to live in a foreign country , so when I discovered the possibility of combining my passions of children and travel all into one amazing experience...I had to do it!
