Au Pair's Message to Families

Hi! I'm a 19 year old American student hoping to be an au pair in Europe from around mid-May to the end of August. I live in California and attend Univ. of California Berkeley, which I'm proud to say is one of the best schools in America. I will be going into my 3rd year. I'm studying french: I have taken 3 years, and I would love to work somewhere that I could practice my french! But I'm certainly open to other countries as well. English is my primary language and I would be more than willing to help teach English if that is wanted. I have experience teaching; I taught English to children in Thailand during my senior year and I tutored my younger cousin in math and english. I have extensive experience in child care, I've worked as a babysitter since I was 10 and my two best friends have young children in their families and I have grown up helping to care for them. I pride myself on being extremely responsible, attentive, and caring. I'm very outgoing and fun and love to have a good laugh. I absolutely love children! I also like traveling and cooking. I'm a dancer and am very active, perfect for keeping up with energetic kids!
