| Dear family,
There are a lot of great au pairs out there, but I'm the best for you and your family! I would love to have the opportunity to meet you! I am a sophomore at the University of California-Berkeley studying political science and international relations. I want to one day become an intellectual property lawyer and work with the World Health Organization. However, before I start that chapter in my life, I would love to continue working with children for a family like yours. I have excellent experience with children whether as a caregiver or youth mentor volunteer. I worked as a summer camp counselor for three years with children from ages 4 to 13 for the summer camp I went to as a child. I developed a love for arts and crafts, outdoor activities and most importantly developed meaningful and unique experiences. I worked as a referee for a youth soccer league for 2 years. I have babysat many families, however, I worked with one girl in particular for three years. I looked after the daughter overnight when the family was out of town and often housesat when they went on vacations and tutored her in every school subject. Last semester at Berkeley, I volunteered my time as a youth mentor for a 12 year old middle school student. I played soccer all through high school and continue to remain active in college ready to handle even the most energetic kids. I have spent time in Spain and studied Spanish so I have a basic knowledge of the Spanish language and am very comfortable in new places. I'm looking for a wonderful family who cares about their kids and wants to have an amazing summer! Thank you, Anne |
