| Dear Family...
I'm an au pair here in the USA, and I'm looking for extra part time job as babysitting... I'm seeking a nice and outgoing family. I’m a very communicative person, my friends always tell me that I’m easy to talk to and a great listener and that I’m really easy to get along with because there are few things that would annoy me. I constantly try to see things in a positive light and think of ways to make everything work out. I’m also an open-minded person and willing to learn new things everyday, because knowledge is the only thing we actually get to keep in our lives. Like most people, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies and reading books. When I have some free time, I particularly like to go out with my friends – usually we go out to eat, watch a movie or we just walk around the mall talking about daily occurrences and how life’s going. I live in a beautiful house with my mother, my father and one sister and my dog. We are a very happy and close family. I graduated University as Executive Assistant. I love spending time with my friends. We usually travel somewhere near or go to the beach on the holidays. Sometimes we go bowling, eating, shopping in the mall or dancing. I have many loyal friends that I’ve known for a long time. When I’m at home, I like to spend time with my family or reading. When I have some free time, I like to play tennis or go to the stadium to watch any kind of game (soccer, volley, and others).
I have a great experience in working with children; I worked as a nanny during the first and second years of university, 2002 - 2003 (the children's age were 3 and 4 years old). Between 2006 and 2007 I’ve taken care of a baby since he was born till he was one year old, it was an amazing time, because I saw him talking his first words, and trying to walk for the first time, it’s priceless… Today he is 2 and half years old and I visit him every weekends. I love spending some time with him. January till March of this year I took care of two girls, Giovanna and Julia, they are 10 and 4 years old. I used to babysitter them from Monday to Friday from 6pm to 10 pm while their parents were in a course. Children like my joyful personality and my usual smile. The secret is to keep an open mind and to be patient all the time. But not everything is just fun: energy and responsibility are also required when dealing with children. Balance these qualities is really important. I usually teach them how to dance and sing and how to make art projects. Drawing, painting, modeling, cutting figures... I still keep some art projects my children have given to me. They also like when I make puppet shows, games, outside activities and tell them fantastic stories. Usually I read the stories but sometimes I just make them up! It’s hard to tell who is having more fun: the children or me! Every minute spent with them was very rewarding. There is no experience like that on earth.
I am registered with AuPairCare agency (my profile is on line) and I’ve got really excited with Au Pair opportunity: I can study, travel and take care of children in the same experience! It’s going to be a great year! I think the course will really improve my knowledge of English... Besides, I’ve always wanted to get to know other cultures so I can get to know the routine of an American family and American students. I hope I can became part of your family and bring your family new experiences in the most positive way. I hope we match and have a great experience together, I expect to work and be a part of the family in the same time! I want a family who gives me the opportunity of work legally for our both safety.
