| Dear family
Thanks for visiting my profile.
My teaching career started in 1997 and among my experience I can mention Child Care Centers, Orphanages, Pre-K/Kindergarten and Elementary Schools.
I'm willing to get a CPR certification and I would be more than happy to share my culture/language with you - I'm learning French so I would be glad to practice some new words with your children too! I'm looking for an opportunity to live in the USA for a while to practice my English and to learn more about American Culture.
My love for children is what drives my career in Education and that's the main reason why I believe the AP program is such an amazing experience for families and APs. I'm not affiliated to an agency at this time (I've reached the cut off age for enrollment) but I understand that this is the right time for me since I consider myself more mature and responsible - qualities needed to handle successfully the host family's routine and school commitments.
The plan is to enroll for ESL classes as I arrive and as soon as my English skills improve I'll look into some Credit Courses related to my major in Brazil - Bachelor and Licensure in History.
Most of my experience with children has been in the classroom but while working in Child Care centers I had the chance to work with them full time and got very comfortable establishing an effective and fun routine at the same time. (What's the use of an effective routine if it's not FUN? =] )I'm a stronger believer that fun times must be well balanced with responsibility and education all together! My stipend is completely negotiable and based on the job description and total hours worked per week.
I must clarify that my spoken English is better than the written and I do need some sort of assistance to write properly. I have references upon request (professional and personal) including a family living in NOVA, MD, DC area.
Unfortunately I'm not a member so I have no access to your information, but let me know if you have any further questions.
Best regards, Tatiana |
